Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine Product specifications

Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine is made of 20mg/ml of cross-linked, nonanimal-based hyaluronic acid. It is also integrated with fast-acting 0.3% lidocaine for pain-free treatment sessions. This product is formulated with proprietary Vycross Technology, which reticulates 90% low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and 10% high molecular weight hyaluronic acid molecules to form an extremely cohesive and malleable implant. Once administered, this filler can immediately volumize hollowed regions for an elegantly sculpted face.

What is Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine formulated to do?

When some patients experience aging, they undergo an unintended loss of facial volume, resulting in an unhealthy and emaciated appearance. Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine is made with highly viscoelastic and cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel to instantly volumize these sunken regions. It is also suitable for sculpting facial contours for a well-defined face.

This synthetic, cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler is manufactured by Allergan.

This skin volumizer is made in Europe.

When it can cause side effects

Since this implant is administered via deep dermal injections, patients may exhibit localized inflammatory reactions such as redness, pain, swelling, and itchiness. These responses should, however, subside within a couple of days. Educate your patients to keep their injected areas clean, makeup-free, and protected from harsh temperatures (direct sunlight, sauna, etc.) for shorter downtime post-injection. Adverse reactions like tissue damage, pus, infections, and hypersensitivities may occur if the aesthetic procedure is not conducted correctly. This may not be a complete list of side effects. Refer to the package insert for a full list of side effects, warnings, and contraindications. If any adverse effects are prolonged or worsen, your patient should contact you or another medical professional.

Which skin type is it good for?

Patients whose facial areas—including the cheeks, temples, zygomatic arch, jawline, and pre-jowl—are affected by volume deficit can opt for Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine for natural-looking skin volumization.

What is it made without?

This implant is processed to be free from any pyrogens and contaminants.

Information about packaging

This dermal volumizing injectable gel is supplied in a sterilized syringe that contains 1ml of this solution.

Is it approved by FDA?

This hyaluronic acid-based implant has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for volumizing sunken areas in the midface region whose cause is age-related volume loss. The FDA specifically approved this product for administration via deep dermal, subcutaneous, or upper-periostea injections.

What are the differences between the products in the Juvederm Vycross line?

The fillers in the Juvederm Vycross line differ in terms of their concentration of hyaluronic acid.

What is the suggested usage?

Before the procedure, check a patient’s suitability for this treatment by reviewing their medical information and assessing the extent of their skin imperfection(s). It is also prudent to explain any possible reactions and contraindications to them. As part of aseptic medical standards, disinfect the treatment areas, and assess the patient’s need for any additional anesthetic agents. You may then administer the filler via subcutaneous, upper-periostea, or deep dermal injections. After the region is adequately volumized, gently massage it to ensure the integration of the implant. Please note that the prefilled syringe should not be reused, and any leftover gel is to be discarded responsibly.

What is the composition?

This synthetic dermal volumizing implant is composed of 20mg/ml of hyaluronic acid. It is also integrated with 0.3% lidocaine for better patient comfort. Hyaluronic acid molecules are derived via a biofermentation process and are then crosslinked via Vycross Technology. The resulting gel is 90% low molecular weight hyaluronic acid molecules and 10% of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid molecules. This unique formulation curtails the attraction of fluid from nearby tissues; hence, there is a lower risk of post-injection swelling when using this filler. Nevertheless, the implant is malleable enough to volumize and sculpt sunken areas.

What is in the box?

A box of Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine is packaged with 2 preloaded syringes that each contain 1ml of this solution, 4 single-use 30G½” sterile needles, some patient record labels, and a package insert.

What is the duration of effect?

Dermal implants processed with Vycross Technology are acclaimed for their sturdy and long-lasting performance. Juvederm Voluma with Lidocaine is actually able to volumize sunken regions for approximately 24 months, after which it is resorbed into the neighboring cells. Nevertheless, this residence time alters on an individual basis.

What is the storage condition?

Please keep this volumizing skin implant in a clean and cool storage room with a regulated temperature between 2℃ to 25℃, so as to maintain its efficacy and shelf life.

What is the shelf life?

Refer to the expiry date on the package.
