Product specification:

Filorga Pre Peel is a cleansing and pH balancing solution designed to prepare the skin before the application of a chemical peel. This pH 4 solution acts as a gentle cleanser to remove impurities, excess oil, and make up from the skin. This product can be used to treat patients exhibiting visible signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and other hyperpigmentation.  It contains gluconolactone, sodium methylparaben, phenoxyethanol, and water (pH 4).

What Filorga Pre Peel is formulated to do:

Applying Filorga Pre Peel helps to prep the patient’s skin and adjust its pH prior to a chemical peel. This conditioning liquid formula is created to apply on patients during a chemical peel treatment session. The active ingredient in Filorga Pre Peel, gluconolactone, works to cleanse the skin. Gluconolactone is a naturally occurring polyhydroxy acid (PHA) with antioxidant, skin conditioning, and moisturizing properties. This mild acid has a molecular structure that attracts and retains water to maintain skin moisture. Other functions of gluconolactone include lowering the skin pH level, metal chelating, scavenging free radicals, and protecting the skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Filorga Pre Peel also balances the pH level of the patient’s skin to make it more neutral. Balancing the skin pH provides more suitable conditions for a peeling procedure. With the use of this solution, patients achieve clean skin and clear pores for a chemical peel to penetrate effectively.

Filorga Pre Peel is a product of French skin care company, Laboratoires Filorga. The internationally recognized brand was founded in 1978 by Michel Tordjman. Laboratoires Filorga offers a range of medical anti-aging solutions, over-the-counter cosmetic products, and skin perfusion products for medical professionals and general consumers.

Common side effects include skin irritation and sun sensitivity. Patients should limit sun exposure or wear sunscreen to protect their skin against harmful UV radiation.

Suggested usage:

  • Use Filorga Pre Peel immediately before carrying out a chemical peel treatment.
  • First, dispense some of the liquid solution onto a cotton pad or compress. Next, spread the solution evenly onto the patient’s face (avoiding the eyes). Continue with the application of an appropriate chemical peel solution depending on the patient’s skin type.
  • It is recommended to use Filorga Time Peel or Filorga Bright Peel for normal skin and Filorga Light Peel for sensitive skin.
